Skate Night!

We went to skate Night with Britton's school. Britton made me so proud. Last time we went he gave up, but this time he just kept going. He skated for 50 minutes straight.

Ethan enjoyed it too. He inherited Britton's old skates now that they are too small to go over Britton's shoes.

Needless to say they spent a lot of time on their bottoms.

But spill after spill, they kept going.

This ones great! Keep an eye on them both.

Leggo my... Legos?

Ok, so Britton got a few Lego sets for his birthday in August...

...well he has been bugging Eric so much lately to go into the attic to find the collection he had when he was a kid.

After a whole day of searching every shed, every closet, and finally the attic he found them.

All I have heard for 2 weeks now is "can we dump the Legos out?" Every morning.

UGH! I'm so happy they both love Legos but it is a real pain cleaning them up every night.

Then and WOW!

I just wanted to take a few minutes to acknowledge my hubby and all his hard work. He won't toot his own horn but I can do it for him...

He is only .6 away from 30 pounds down.

He says he hasn't changed yet but I sure can see the difference!

Keep it up honey.

4 Years, 4 Months, 4 Days!

4 Years ago I looked like this!

4 Months ago I looked like this!

4 Days ago I looked like this!

I am at a total of 55 lbs. since starting Weight Watchers 3 1/2 years ago. I still have about 15 lbs. to go but I am so excited about my progress.

Costume contest!

I put these costumes together for the boys for Halloween but Britton changed his mind at the last minute and wanted to be Optimus Prime so we went to Wal-Mart and then Ethan wanted the skeleton costume so I figured they would just be what they wanted to be. Then I found out there was going to be a costume contest at the camp out so I brought them along.

Ethan obviously was Mickey Mouse!

And Britton went as Goofy! I didn't get any good pictures though. They were just so excited I could never get them to sit still.

Announcing the winners! Funniest costume "Mad Scientist!"

Scariest "Swamp Thing!"

Runner up! "Harry Potter!"

And first place goes to... "Goofy!"

Congrats from little bro. Britton was so excited he won first place. Daddy said Britton was just saying "I never win!" when they called his name.

Later we went on a hike along the haunted pathway, then went into the haunted pirate ship where the boys got to feel eyeballs, intestines, and dried fingernails.

(We all know what was really in the pumpkins though.

The kid behind them kept gagging though. I think he thought it was real.

We even went on a midnight hay ride before returning to our tent for the night.

Cub Scout Family Campout.

We went camping for the first time since Ethan was 3 months old. I don't think he knew what was going on.

Ethan kept calling our tent a spaceship. It was so funny. He was all excited.

Settling down for the night.

We have camped out in our room on the floor a few times so we figured the boys would do well.

It got down to 40 degrees that night though and we all ended up in the same sleeping bag by the end of the night. Daddy was our heater. We all snuggled up to him all night long.

In the morning when we were just getting up I snapped this picture of Ethan rubbing Brittons back while he slept. "SWEET!"

There were lots of fun activities, building scarecrows, arts and crafts, and we even went fishing.

At the camp they use corn for bait.

Each of the boys caught a fish.

We had lots of fun!

Trick or Treat, Smell my Feet!

Here we go... Getting ready to go to the zoo for Zoo Boo!

Trick or Treating at the zoo? Yep! I made our moms dress up as the pit crew for Cars the Movie. (Our costume last year).

Britton as Optimus Prime, and Ethan as a skeleton.

It was pretty cool to see the zoo at night. They had little booths set up throughout the zoo where the kids could trick or treat.

Funtastic FOUR! I love dressing up with the boys. We all get into it so much. Even Eric (he won't admit it though).

Grama was so happy to be here with us for her birthday. Happy Birthday Grama!

After we were done Trick or Treating we went to Freddy's for ice cream.

They have delicious ice cream!

A little help from Grama.

mmmm...

The best moments of the night were just listening to the boys sing the same song I sang as a kid. Britton has been working for weeks on teaching Ethan this song.
"Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat.
If you don't, I don't care, I'll pull down your underwear."
Well at one of the booths Ethan collected his loot and didn't sing. I told him to sing his song to them even though they already gave him candy. He sang, "Trick or treat, gimmi more!" It was hilarious!

He also sings "Trick or treat, smell my feet give me something too good eat!" CUTE, CUTE, CUTE! Oh, I just want to watch both of these videos over and over.

It took 3 takes to get this whole clip from Britton, he was being such a goof. On one of the clips he stopped half way through the song so I was trying to wave him to keep going and he didn't get it so he just started dancing. It was so funnnnny!
I guess you could say we had a great Halloween.
