Moto Moto....

I know I still have like 13 weeks left and I'm only going to get bigger but I feel so HUGE already. I love being pregnant and I wouldn't change it for the world. I would post a picture but we haven't taken one lately that is to my satisfaction. When Eric does snap one that I agree with I will post it. Anyways, Eric has come up with a very clever way to get me to stop calling myself fat... And huge... And round... And, well you know all those things we pregnant women like to call ourselves?

Every time I call myself one of those things he recites a scene from Madagascar 2... It always makes me laugh and I feel better too.

Surprise!!!

Back in July Stella retired from the post office, we didn't have time to plan a party because she was heading out of town right away. So a few weeks ago we made plans to go to dinner at the Cibolo Rodeo on September 17th. It was nice all day but right around 5:00 p.m. a BIG storm rolled in so we moved the party to Nancy's house.
Little to my surprise, with the help of the other girls, Stella turned it around on me and planned me BABY SHOWER!!!
They were going to set it up at the Rodeo and everything. Nancy had all the stuff in her car when Stella called to tell her that there was no more seating available under the pavilion.
I was pretty surprised .
Joyce, Nancy and Karen...
Jill and Stella... My boss Jane was there too but I didn't get any pictures of her.
We decided to order pizza and since no one delivers to Nancy's house we called Eric and he picked it up. We even let him stay and watch me open my gifts.

Diapers, wipes and some other necessities from everyone. Diapers are always a good thing right?
I had to open the diapers and look at them. They're so tiny. I was starting to regret letting Eric stay though because he started picking on me for keeping one of each of my kids diapers from when they were that tiny. Hey! Its a MOM thing ok? I have them in our safe and every once in a while I take them out and look at them to remind me just how tiny my babies were. I plan to do the same with the twins.
Stella made them each a darling receiving blanket...
and got them matching dresses.
Picture frames from Joyce. One for the boys and one for the girls. I can't wait to put pictures in them.
Matching outfits from Jane...
Thanks everyone, it really meant a lot to me.

What is it about Grandmas?

We were so lucky to have Grama come stay with us for six weeks! She had so much fun hanging out with all of us. It was nice to have such a long visit though because we didn't have to rush to do all kinds of things. We mostly stayed home and hung out. I even worked most of my scheduled days and Grama got to babysit. Some of the wonderful things Grama got to do in the last few weeks were:
Well this little turkey here missed 2 days in the first week of school because he came down with a virus!!! I call it "The Back to School Virus". Two other kids in his class were out with it and the next week one of his teachers were out with it...
Poor baby!
Getting the boys off the bus was fun. No matter how hot it was, Grama was there with her camera (in case they did anything cute). And they did...
The Labor Day Picnic with our ward turned out to be a lot of fun, Grama had a great time going to Nursery with me every Sunday too.

She also got to witness one of our BIG Texas Rain Storms...
Our shed now has a new home between the opening in the trees. Ethan was so upset when he got home from school that day. He just fell apart because he couldn't drive his truck through there anymore. I assured him that Opa would move it as soon as the weather cleared up.
The storm blew over one of the biggest trees in the park next to our house. It was crazy!!!!

There were actually trees down all over town.
She had plenty of time for dominoes...

Electronic Battleship...
and all kinds of other crafts...

Once the weather cleared up they spent some time hunting for bugs and spiders. It wasn't too hard to find some... Thank goodness Grama ALWAYS has her camera!
She even had time to crochet each of the babies a blanket. One pink and one purple.
This morning we went to school with the boys to have breakfast before mommy and daddy took Grama to the airport destined for Oregon. My lucky brother and sister in law get her next...
We miss you already Grama..

Thats ok. We get her back in December... Can't wait!

Frog and Toad.

For my birthday I got season passes to the Magik Theater, well I had a few tickets left and the last show of the season was showing in August. Since it was from one of my favorite book series' I thought it would be fun to take Britton and a few friends to see it.
"A Year With Frog and Toad." My sister and I used to read these books when we were kids and I have even gotten a few from the library to read with the boys from time to time.
Ethan had fun with Britton and his friends.
Rio, Ryan and Cannon.

I absolutely loved this play! They worked in a little from each book and it brought back so many memories from my childhood.
"Spring" and coming out of hibernation... (Above)
"Summer"...
"Fall" ...

"Winter" and going back into hibernation...
I found a real cool Frog ice cream cake at Baskin Robins and we went there after to eat cake and open presents...

I didn't think about the fact that it probably softens up on the drive home but since we were eating it there it was solid as a rock so Eric had to borrow their machete to cut the darn thing...
All the kids got a BIG kick out of it though.

mmm...

Great, more LEGOS!
