Are we keeping Grama busy???

We took Grama to an official TEXAS wedding, where the bride and her bridesmaids all wore cowboy boots under their dresses and you could pay $1. to dance with the bride.
You know Britton had to get in on it.
Ethan? Well he just wanted a dance with the beautiful blonde bridesmaid.

The happy couple.
We went to the grand opening of another LEGO store in Austin, we are pretty excited this ones only about an hour away. Its closer than Houston, thats all I know.
The boys loved the GIANT model of Woody...

And we all got to help out in building an 8 foot tall replica of Buzz Lightyear.
The way it worked was that you built giant bricks out of the smaller ones...

We each built a few...

Then you give them to this guy and he puts them where they go.

Mini Buzz.
Lets see.. We went swimming at my friend Nancy's new pool. That was lots of fun.

Oh and at his 8 year check up, Britton got an A+ for being the first kid his doctor saw that day that was 100% healthy.
And mommy got a pat on the back for keeping him that way.
We've also been trying our hand in Gymnastics. The boys really love it and they are doing great!

Its a great way to get all their wiggles out!

Grama took us to play mini golf before it was back to school time.

It was SUPER HOT but lots of fun!
So yes we have been keeping Grama busy. We are so happy she gets to stay for such a long visit. Lets just hope she comes back after all this.

Two BIG Days.

Each of my kids had a very BIG day this week. On Saturday August 21st Britton was Baptized and confirmed a member of our church. Bishop Mitchell.
It was a BIG day for him and he was excited to have some of his friends there.
Father and Son...
Our AWESOME Missionaries!!! Elder Rich and Elder Uribe.
Our little family...
Proud Grama...
Oma and Opa too...

On Monday August 23rd, Ethan had his very first day of Kindergarten. 6:30 a.m. comes pretty quick when you've been sleeping in all summer...
A slow start...
After breakfast he was fueled and ready to go!
We had to park on the street because there were so many people there but Ethan didn't care. He was so excited he didn't even wait for us...
One happy Grama...
One sad mommy...
Ethan's very energetic teacher Mrs. Sampson.
The longer I was there the worse I got... I kept thinking what am I going to do all day???
Then I asked him and he said I could play his games and do his puzzles till he got home then he would play them with me. Add that to overly hormonal pregnant woman and you get a BIG ball baby*#@!
We had to say goodbye at the library but Ethan was just fine. I was more worried about me than I was about him. But Hey! I survived, and after school we all went to Baskin Robins for ICE CREAM!
