Happy Birthday Songe!!!

My sister and I both have our Birthdays in March. We are pretty close. 11 months and 3 weeks to be exact! For both of our Birthdays I guess, we met in San Antonio to be together for a few days. It was actually a surprise to me. I had no idea. We were headed out to dinner and there was Brian my brother in law. Then there was my sister. I couldn't believe it. The kids didn't even know. I guess if Eric had told them they would have told me huh?

We went to dinner...

...Then back at our house we played Shrek (Britton's Christmas present from auntie and uncle).



Awe! We missed you auntie!









Then next day we went downtown to see the Alamo and the River Walk.



It was cold but it was a lot of fun.

My baby. Oh! Where was I? Oh ya! We went to Rudy's, if you've ever been to Rudy's (melissa) you know they have awesome BBQ!!!

Defiantly a family fave.

Brian wanted to go back for breakfast the next day.





Even my boys love it. Britton always gets the ribs. He's such a cannibal. (like his daddy)...

They brought their dog Charlie with them to visit us. The boys loved spending time with him. Ethan still asks where Charlie is. No mention of auntie and uncle though...

Their dog has his own rain coat.

I thought it was so cute.

We got the boys into their rain coats and attempted to take pictures of the three of them.

I thought my kids were hard to get to sit still. I now have a better appreciation for squirmy kids at the picture studio.

This dog would NOT sit still for one minute.

ARGH!!!

On the last day we didn't have much more time and Britton and Ethan couldn't agree on where to go. Skating or bowling? So we did both.

Britton was giddy! I hope he doesn't think it will be like this all the time.

Special occasion I try to explain...

They had a lot of fun. Well we all did.





from the bowling alley we went to the Skating rink.

I was happy we decided to skate too, I got new roller skates for my birthday and hadn't tried them out yet.

Aunite Songe had a blast hangin out with E, while mommy and daddy got to skate with B.

Britton is a great skater, they both love going skating.

Daddies good at it too.

Last minute trip to Utah.

The month of March didn't start out too well for my family. Sadly on March 1st my uncle Tim (my dad's brother) passed away, it was hard to hear this from my mom over the phone. I haven't been home in 2 years and it's been even longer since I've seen most of my cousins.

On the 3rd my mom called me with more bad news. My aunt Delene (my dad's sister passed away) it wasn't what I thought I would hear. You can imagine the horror when the very next day my sister called to tell me my mom was in an accident. I thought "what kind of cruel joke?"

We got Eric's parents to watch the boys and went home for a few days. It was beautiful, and nice to be there. Too bad it was under such sad circumstances.


My aunt is in the middle holding one of her great grandchildren, on the left my cousin Tracy, then on the other side my cousin Doug with his wife Pat and their other grand baby.

My mom and my Aunt. It was so nice to see them I'm sure its been more than 10 years.

My mom got a rental car and this is what she got. She liked it so much she bought one. A little red one. You can see it on my link to her blog.

We rented a Mazda 3 (my fave!) I love this car. It has automatic and standard shifting. I want one!!!

Just kidding, we saw this truck and thought the boys would like it.




We went to Leatherby's mmm...

... and had ice cream with my niece Lawna and her boyfriend A.J. She was so surprised to see us. It wasn't planned and she had no idea we were there.
