5 months and counting!!!

Wow! It's been nearly a half a year since the girls were born? I can't believe how big they are getting. I love these little onsies that my mother in law's friend gave the girls. I just happened to come across these flowers at hobby lobby and decided to make them a clip to match.
Its so much fun having little girls to dress up. They look so pretty in all their little dresses and bows.
They are growing so fast, Riley was the first one to roll over but she only did it one time and then Reagan started rolling over. Now Riley rolls over all the time and Reagan only rolls over once in a while.
Reagan is our little singer. She actually almost got us kicked out of church last Sunday (just kidding) no one could hear the lesson that was being given. She was "singing" so loud that I had to go stand in the back with her so people could hear.
She can get pretty mad too!

I thought it would wear off, but the boys are even more nuts about them now. I think they are getting more and more fun to play with.

Just a last minute post...

Our growing girls and our anniversary.
Not wearing shoes yet (who needs them in this heat) but their feet are getting bigger...
Rolling and starting to enjoy tummy time a little more.

We saw this restaurant on "Diners, Drive ins, & Dives" so we decided to try it for our anniversary. 12 years already, I can't believe it.
We tried the Cabrito burger (goat) and the Axis burger (deer).

It was fun, I didn't care for the Axis burger and I thought the Cabrito burger tasted like ground turkey. It was nice to get away.

"Birthday Money!"

With his birthday money Ethan took all of us to Crocodile Gap to ride the go carts. We all made an agreement that in stead of buying toys with our birthday money that we would take each other out for some fun.
I. For one. Love this new tradition. No more toys to clean up!!!

It kind of set us in the right mood for the upcoming soap box car race with scouts.

Considering I have never made a soap box car, and I had to help the boys all by myself, I think they turned out pretty well.

The race was a lot of fun. The boys had to go around 3 times.

Each time they had to make a pit stop. Once for a tire change. (The pit crew had to take their shoes off and put them back on.

Then for refueling. (He had to drink a whole capri sun). And last for windshield cleaning. Sadly I did not get pictures of this pit stop but it was the best. The pit crew got to spray him in the face with water and wipe it off.
Britton's buddy Rio.
Rio, Britton, and Jason.
Ethan got to compete in the sibling round. It was a blast.
Britton and his friends were all following Ethan and cheering him on, he was in last place but he didn't even care.

More antics...

This is a good one.
Eric worked tech support for the election today so he was gone ALL day. @ about 7 p.m. Britton asks "Where is daddy anyways?" I tell him I know he doesn't normally work Saturdays but he is working the election.
Britton "Whats that?"
Mommy "When people vote."
Britton "Are we getting a new president?"
Mommy "No, its for mayor, or city council, or something."
Britton "I hope daddy wins!"
The kid, cracks me up...

Antics...

Ethan *to mommy while drawing a picture.* "Daddy is taller than you."
Mommy* "Oh, ya?"
Ethan "Yep, see his legs go all the way to his bum."
Mommy *Puzzled* "Really, where do my legs go?"
Awkward silence...

Fun!

Well, I can now add sewing to my ever-growing list of talents. A few months ago while visiting with me and the girls, my friend Jill loved some of the burp cloths another friend had made for the girls. She kept telling me "we could make those" so I took her up on it. I got some fabric and we met at her house once a week so she could teach me to sew. They turned out so cute.
It didn't stop there though, I mentioned that I wanted to make car seat covers for the girls car seats so we used a tutorial I found on another friend's blog and made them each a car seat cover to match their car seats.
The scroll design that matches their seats on one side and on the other side pink gingham for Riley and purple for Reagan.

By the time we were close to finishing them it was getting to be hot weather so we didn't attach the straps and the girls can use them for blankets in stead of car seat covers.
I even found a great sewing machine on Craig's List. Jill went with me to look at it, we both think the woman didn't know what a great machine she had, but she had already purchased a new one, the one she wanted. So I got it. I'm still learning but I'm getting better at it.
