Autumn...

It's that time of year again! I love the fall, I always have. We took the boys to the pumpkin patch last weekend. it was so much fun.
They got to build a scare crow...

Play in the hay maze and run around...

We picked out some pumpkins...

Took pony rides...

Pet the animals...

and the best part of all, they got their faces painted.

We even got a hay ride back to our car. It was soo much fun.

pumpkin Cake! Yumm...

I got this recipe out of Parents Magazine. I thought it was so cute. It was lots of fun to make.
First you bake 2 bunt cakes.
Let them cool and stack them on top of each other.
You use an ice cream cone for the stem.
Color some white frosting to the desired shade of orange, or they do sell orange frosting for Halloween. I just didn't find out till it was too late.
Reserve some frosting for green. Frost the cone and insert into the center hole in the cake.
Voila! Its a pumpkin... Its a cake!
I piped the stems on with the green that was left by spooning it into a sandwich bag and snipping the corner off.
Ready to eat cake?
Needless to say, it didn't last long.

Last Sunday when we were getting ready for church I realized that Britton must have had a growth spurt. He only had one pair of pants to wear to church and his only sweater vest was Christmas and daddy would not let me put it on him before Halloween was even here!

So the following Tuesday I went to kid to kid to look around. A friend of mine works there and she told me I should come see her. I shopped there once when Britton was like 1 but have never been into looking for the best deal. But I had a lot of fun and found some great STEALS!
.
Britton got 2 new shirts with vests, another button down shirt, and a nice pair of pants, and Ethan got a new dress shirt with vest and some new dress pants also.
They look so cute in their "new" duds! I found Ethan a rain coat and I also got them each a game and a jacket for Christmas. I was just so excited that I got all that for $75.00. I will have to remember that you can get some great deals at resale shops. They are becoming very popular.

Eye Poppin Fun!!

The boys are so excited for Halloween to be here. They LOVE Halloween! -What kid doesn't?- Anyways see if you can guess which one is which??? The answer is at the bottom of the page.

We began our Halloween decorating and have been having so much fun getting ready for the spooky day. We made these fun flower pot/pen holder mummies.
We went outside and picked a bunch of dead flowers to complete the look.
But before we could attach the eyes we had to have some fun...

C'mon let's get serious!

Finally they are finished... Daddy Mummy...
Mommy Mummy...
Britton Mummy...
