Last year when Britton started school I took Spring Break off with him so we could all hang out, so this year I thought I would make it a tradition.
We went hiking one day, went downtown and had lunch with Daddy, and went to the zoo.

Britton has learned a fascinating fact about flamingos and wanted to share it with every one.
It was raining pretty bad when we got there. I knew it was supposed to rain but what could it hurt to go to the zoo in the rain?

We still had lots of fun.

Last time we went the hippo exhibit was not open yet but Ethan was so enthralled with it this time, we were there for a long time!

Oh Ethan, what a great view you have there!

That's better.

Feeding the ducks.

We always ride the train after the zoo so off we went to buy our tickets...

We got in line to wait and as soon as the train pulled into the station Ethan started crying. "I don't want to go, I don't want to!" "The shark scares me!" He was thinking of the train at the Houston Aquarium and would not get on! I tried and tried. So sadly we walked away from the train. There was a nice lady with three little kids who offered to take Britton. I thought for a minute and decided to let him go. It was the longest trip around the track I ever remember. I was so worried about Britton, but what could happen? They don't make stops. She had three kids with her. How far could she get with all of them and Britton? At last! The train pulled into the station, and there was Britton, he was fine.
While we waited I got a chance to interview Ethan. He was so sad. He wanted to go but just couldn't do it.
