Way back in September Eric had to go to Cincinnati for some conferences with his work, I thought it would be a good chance for me to catch up on some sleep (we only had to buy one ticket and the hotel was paid for) so we asked his parents to take care of the kids and I met up with him a few days after he left.
I really enjoyed relaxing in our room while Eric was at his meetings but I admit I missed the noise and demands of my kiddos. We did get to see the sights in the evenings. This is the BIGG-EST jar of Nutella I have ever seen! It was at this place called Just Crepes. Bet you can't guess what they served there.
Someone in one of Eric's meetings told him about this international market so we just had to try it. Their restrooms have been on various news stations because they are so funny. It looks like an outhouse but when you open the door it's a large elaborate restroom. It was so funny.

e also tried this place "Blue Ash Chili". They were on Diners Drive-ins and Dives.
I didn't care for it though. Apparently it is cinnamon that makes their chili famous. Not my cup of tea.

This cupcake place was in the hotel lobby and boy it was hard to come and go without buying a cupcake every time.

We just thought this building was cool.

Another place that was on triple D.
These pictures are not really in order but who's keeping track? We rented a car for the last day since we were in walking distance to most places. I stayed at the hotel while Eric went to pick it up and this is what he came back with.

we spent our last day driving all over Ohio, seeing as much as we could see before it was time to go home.
On Saturday before we left we had lunch at Oktoberfest, the entire street in front of our hotel was closed and there were so many people there. I missed my kids (and my inlaws) but I sure had fun while doing it. I'm thankful for Eric's parents for watching the kids and taking such good care of them. Especially since Riley came down with an ear infection the day before I left.
